How it works
Guests add their own selections to a shared table session. Staff can add or edit orders, move a party to another table or area, and keep the visit together. Reorder from order history instead of searching the menu again.
Choose payment at the end or payment before an order is released. With immediate payment, configure whether a paid session closes or stays open for another round. Resolve remaining baskets and payments before the team closes the visit.
A practical example
Two friends order drinks from separate phones, see the same session and later order dessert. Moving to the terrace should preserve the existing bill.
Scope and readiness
A fixed QR alone does not prove physical presence. Visit codes reduce casual joining; they are not an identity check. The hosted pilot uses clearly labeled test payments.
IQ Order is in pilot development. Test payments do not move money. Live payment, tax and POS connections, mail services and physical devices need their own provider access and acceptance. Public marketing pages do not grant access to administration.
Before your first guest
- Start a visit on the first phone using a personal name.
- Try both a correct and an incorrect visit code on a second phone.
- Check a reorder and team closure after moving tables.
From the first menu to a connected visit
- Select your menus, service areas, ordering channels and staff roles.
- Run a complete visit using fictional guests and clearly labeled test payments.
- Validate the selected country, providers and physical devices before production.
Questions before your pilot
What should I know about QR ordering and shared table sessions?
Print a fixed QR code for each table. The first guest starts a visit with a chosen session name and receives a new table code. Other guests scan the same QR, enter their own name and join using that visit code. No ChatGPT account is needed for guest access.
What is the scope and what still needs validation?
A fixed QR alone does not prove physical presence. Visit codes reduce casual joining; they are not an identity check. The hosted pilot uses clearly labeled test payments.
Is a photo of a table QR enough to join?
The fixed QR opens the table entrance; it does not prove presence. Joining an active visit also requires its current visit code. Share it only with that table party. This is not an automatic location or identity check.
