IQ ORDER · Set up restaurant software and run a pilot

Start small, prove the whole visit, then expand.

Choose a venue, menu and ordering path before selecting every possible add-on. Use fictional guests and test payments to validate the operation without creating real customer charges.

    2026-10-31 · Scope and readiness

    How it works

Prepare menus, areas, table QR codes, staff roles, opening times and delivery rules. Choose the restaurant’s time zone, currency and country requirements explicitly; the visitor’s browser language must not change them.

Test two independent phones, a shared session, kitchen preparation, pickup or service, splitting and receipts. Check anonymous administration denial, permitted owner access, connection errors and recovery.

    A practical example

Two phones join the same visit with different guest names. Staff prepare the order, the guest makes a labeled test payment and the team closes the resolved session.

    Scope and readiness

A passed software pilot does not verify physical printers, watches, live payments or a country’s fiscal obligations. Record those remaining gates before production rollout.

IQ Order is in pilot development. Test payments do not move money. Live payment, tax and POS connections, mail services and physical devices need their own provider access and acceptance. Public marketing pages do not grant access to administration.

    Before your first guest

    • Choose one flow from guest order to confirmed handover.
    • List the existing POS, equipment and responsible people.
    • Clearly distinguish test payments from live payments before starting.

From the first menu to a connected visit

    1. Select your menus, service areas, ordering channels and staff roles.
    2. Run a complete visit using fictional guests and clearly labeled test payments.
    3. Validate the selected country, providers and physical devices before production.

    Questions before your pilot

What should I know about Set up restaurant software and run a pilot?

Choose a venue, menu and ordering path before selecting every possible add-on. Use fictional guests and test payments to validate the operation without creating real customer charges.

What is the scope and what still needs validation?

A passed software pilot does not verify physical printers, watches, live payments or a country’s fiscal obligations. Record those remaining gates before production rollout.

Can I try IQ Order without replacing my existing POS immediately?

Yes. The public demo shows selected workflows using sample data. An agreed workflow can also be checked in an assisted pilot. A demonstration does not confirm real data exchange with your POS. Before production, agree the exact system, version, country, payment and receipt flow.
