How it works
Define multiple zones using postal codes, a radius or a drawn area. Configure fees, free-delivery thresholds, lead times, delivery days and hours per zone. Apply holiday and closure exceptions to several zones together.
Assign drivers only their own tours and delivery addresses. Update departure, status, stops remaining and estimated arrival without exposing another customer’s address or an unnecessarily precise driver location.
A practical example
The center is served at lunch, while the surrounding area is available in the evening. The guest’s verified address determines the applicable zone and available slots.
Scope and readiness
Live geocoding, routing, payment and marketplace connections require the selected provider and testing. Zone boundaries and overlapping-zone rules need a real-address pilot.
IQ Order is in pilot development. Test payments do not move money. Live payment, tax and POS connections, mail services and physical devices need their own provider access and acceptance. Public marketing pages do not grant access to administration.
Before your first guest
- Test an address on the boundary and one outside the area.
- Check a closed delivery day and a holiday exception.
- Test free delivery with baskets just below and above its threshold.
From the first menu to a connected visit
- Select your menus, service areas, ordering channels and staff roles.
- Run a complete visit using fictional guests and clearly labeled test payments.
- Validate the selected country, providers and physical devices before production.
Questions before your pilot
What should I know about Restaurant delivery and pickup software?
Enable delivery, restaurant pickup or both, and choose which dishes are eligible. Let guests enter an address, select an offered slot and see delivery fees, minimum order values and the amount still needed for free delivery.
What is the scope and what still needs validation?
Live geocoding, routing, payment and marketplace connections require the selected provider and testing. Zone boundaries and overlapping-zone rules need a real-address pilot.
Why can an address inside the delivery area have no available slot?
A matching address is not enough. Its zone must be open at the requested time, with lead time, exceptions and released slots all matching. Minimum order and delivery charge are additional basket conditions. No available slot does not necessarily mean the address is outside the area.
